After completing a Masters degree in Creation Spirituality & Eco-Psychology, and facilitator training with Joanna Macy and the Pachamama Alliance, Maureen formed the non-profit Be The Change Earth Alliance in 2005 to develop a citizen engagement program to accelerate a shift in consciousness. The first of many Be The Change Symposia was presented in March 2008, in collaboration with the Pachamama Alliance. Since then, over 300 people have joined Be The Change circles, supporting each other to take personal actions for a sustainable lifestyle. In May of 2009, the first annual Great Turning brought over 30 change agents and community leaders together in circle dialogues with over 350 concerned citizens. The Be The Change program has now emerged and is ready to support the world wide movement for global mind shift.
